HRMC Supports Lake Havasu

On Wednesday February 4th team members from Havasu Regional Medical Center (HRMC) joined River Cities United Way (RCUW) President/CEO Lyn Demaret for a photo as another ring is added to the tracker board at Wheeler Park on McCulloch just outside of the K-Mart entrance/exit.

HRMC - a large supporter of Lake Havasu in general, is also a Corporate Cornerstone member which covers RCUW's administrative costs, ensuring that 100% of their employee contributions go directly back into our local community.

Contributions received from Havasu Regional Medical Center employees exceed $28,000. A corporate gift of $5,000 added puts HRMC at 9% of RCUW's $350,000 goal displayed on the board.

River Cities United Way would like to thank Havasu Regional Medical Center administration and its employees for your continuous giving and community support both financially and through volunteerism.

IMPACT STORY:   Salvation Army (Lake Havasu City, AZ.)

A single mother came to us with an unusually high water bill.  The business she had worked for three years had suddenly closed and she found herself unemployed.  After applying for unemployment, she did find a part time job - which allowed her to remain in her apartment and pay most of her bills.  She had recently discovered that there had been a very slow leak under the sink in the second bathroom which was rarely used, causing water damage.  After having repairs done she found she did not have enough money to pay the water bill, so with funds from Salvation Army's Hydrating Families Program, we were able to help her meet the short-fall so that her water would not be shut off.
