Recently a staff member came into my office and said that we had a referral to house a family, but there were several glitches to be worked out that required my assistance. Normally, with the families we serve, we expect one or both of the parents to be the HIV infected person, but not this time. This time it was the child who was positive. I'll call him Michael. Friends of Doorways 
The purpose of the Doorways Friends Group, Friends in Deed, is to engage our supporters and educate on our programs and the services we offer. We do this through volunteering, leadership opportunities, fundraising and special events. There are plenty of ways for our friends of Doorways to be involved!  A RED H.O.T. Thank You!
Whether you attended or not, Thank You! As a result of your generosity and compassion, RED H.O.T. Housing Opportunities Tomorrows was a flaming success! The event grossed more than $300,000 in support of the vital programs and services we provide to more than 2,300 men, women and children each year. Nearly $95,000 of the gross total was raised the evening of the event. The highlight of the evening was the premiere screening of our new film beautifully produced by ONCE. The film, in a mere 3 minutes and 30 seconds, provided a glimpse into the compassionate care and understanding that fuels the mission and programs at Doorways.
