A Message from Candidate Jack McAuley

Greetings, Southeast Region ATCA Members!

The future of aviation is on the cusp of making dramatic changes; both in how airspace will be navigated, as well as how it will be managed. The ideas that are driving those changes are here today as evidenced by advancements in our technology changes, resulting procedural changes, and reported in various aviation publications, including our own ATCA Journal. It will be up to us as aviation professionals to continue to move the needle toward successful implementation of those ideas and establish the new "aviation frontier" as we prepare to hand-off the management of airspace, air navigation, and air traffic control to our sons and daughters.

I strongly believe that our military service aviation professionals play an extremely vital role in moving the future of aviation forward, and the valuable contributions by our service members are seamlessly integrated into the National Airspace System's future plans.

After a 24-year career as an air traffic controller and air traffic manager in the United States Air Force, nearly 10 years as an aviation systems program manager in the FAA, and now 5 years in industry serving as a Program Director for Raytheon, I am uniquely qualified to recognize and understand the multiple interests of air traffic control stakeholders in our industry. I also volunteer on the ATCA Publications Committee and am a strong advocate for technology advancement, collaboration, and integration.

I would like to be your advocate and representative as the Southeast Region Board Member, and I am asking for your vote. If elected, I will bring fresh ideas, make the investment in the future of aviation, and ensure your opinion and voice is heard. The key issues will be addressed so we can truly realize the tangible benefits of the Next Generation Air Transportation System.

You may cast your vote at www.surveymonkey.com/s/ATCAElection2014. Thank you for your consideration.

Regards,

Jack McAuley
