 2014 Class Project
 
The 2014 class voted and has officially decided on their class project. Their project will benefit the MacDonald Training Center, an organization providing an innovative life and job skills training curriculum, community based residential support, and competitive employment placement services to help empower people with disabilities lead the lives they choose. Today, from 9:30AM-3:30PM the class will embark on a painting project at the James Ranch MacDonald Training Center facility.

P.J. Ostberg ('12) accepted a new position at Sun Trust Bank as Commercial Banking Relationship Specialist Team Lead, VP.

 

Monica Varner ('12), Partner, Big City Events, was selected to produce Ybor event, Guavaween, for the next three years.

 

Tara Carroll ('12), Shareholder, Trenam Kemker, has been named the "Woman to Watch" for the St. Petersburg Chamber's 15th Annual Iconic Women of St. Petersburg.

 

Vinny Tafuro ('12), President, Conscious Capitalism Florida, launched his line of corporate empathy attire.

 

Sarah Lindemuth ('12), Senior Research Director, HCP Associates, was named semi-finalist in the 2014 Small Business of the Year Award.

 

Aakash M. Patel ('11) President, Elevate, Inc., has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to serve as Chair of the Early Learning Coalition of Hillsborough County through April 30, 2017.

 

Jamie Klingman ('11), Entrepreneur, will be a speaker at the upcoming TedxPoynter on August 19.

 

Mary Lynn Ulrey ('10), Executive Director, DACCO, is a finalist for the Tampa Bay Business Journal's HealthCare Hero Awards.

 

Danny Jackson ('07), Principal, Cherry Bekaert LLP, has been nominated to the Tampa General Board of Directors.

 

Sean Coniglio ('04), Senior Strategist/Partner, HCP Associates, was appointed chair of the Tampa/Hillsborough Film & Digital Media Commission Advisory Committee.

 

Renee Vaughn ('94), President, Williams Consulting Group, is a finalist for the Tampa Bay Business Journal's Business Woman of the Year in the Business Services Category.

 

Congratulations to Larry Wilder ('94), President; John Thompson ('00), Partner; and Eric Rice ('07), Partner at Wilder Architecture. The company was recognized with the AIA Florida 'Object' Award for the design of the World Trade Center Memorial located on Bayshore Boulevard at Bay to Bay Boulevard for its demonstrated invention, creativity and craftsmanship beyond the constraints of space or cost restrictions, as well as excellence in design.
