Sophice Hours
The King's Soph Team has started a new program called "Sophice Hours" to provide the chance for all first year students to access the support and resources the team has been trained to provide. We realize sometimes those amazing O-week connections fade with busy schedules, or that some students couldn't participate in many O-week events and don't know many Sophs. These Sophice hours are an open space for any fist year student to come and see their Soph team when they need to. So if you need help studying, want to hear about school clubs, want advice or even just want to hang out with your Sophs, we will be in the SLC in KC 204 every Tuesday and Thursday from 12:30-5:30pm.
If you have any questions about this program e-mail Programming Assistant Shannon Udall at [email protected].
Soph Applications are now available
King's Soph applications can be found by logging on to CareerCentral and clicking "King's Soph Applications" under the "MyAccount" tab in the purple column on the left hand side of the screen.
Applications are due January 21.

Veritas Series: How to Tell a Beautiful Story: The Tale of Joseph in the Qur'an
|
Dr. Ingrid Mattson
Thursday, January 22, 7;30pm
Joanne & Peter Kenny Theatre
In introducing the Surah (Chapter) of Joseph, the Qur'an says, "We will relate to you the most beautiful story." What follows is a tale with suspense, drama and complex characters. The motifs of dreams, shirts and hidden objects woven throughout the narrative point to the theme of the illusory nature of the world. This is a story that requires the engagement of the imagination to understand deeper meanings, which is appropriate, as it is only by employing the faithful imagination that a believer can see himself as he truly is.
