RDiddy Schiz, I've spent a lot of time trying to understand the in-country process when the RV button is hit, and IMHO I can't imagine that the average Iraqi is going to see the same increase as dinar holders outside Iraq.

Maybe I'm looking at it wrong, but it seems to me that their biggest benefit in the RV is by having increased purchasing power for imported goods.

Let's say they remove the 000s and the IQD suddenly RVs at 1 dollar to 1 dinar. It could be more, the rate of exchange doesn't matter to an Iraqi in-country.

They take their beat up bills to the bank and instead of having 500,000 dinar, they now have 500.

But at the same time, the GOI/CBI announces that the new lower denoms purchase the same amount as the 000s.

Central Bank announces the withdrawal of 50 dinars a class of trading

Thursday February 26, 2015 14:35 said the Iraqi Central Bank, on Thursday, for the withdrawal of currency 50 dinars category of trading, indicating that the replacement will continue for two months.

The bank said in a statement received " Alsumaria News ", a copy of it, he was" given to stop the public from trading paper Cash category 50 dinars, he decided to withdraw this banknote trading based authorized to article 36 of the powers of the Bank Act No. 56 of 2004 ".

The bank added that "the banks and their branches will start replacing these banknotes presented to it and without fee or commission," noting that "banks will deposited with the bank and its branches for the purpose of being the equivalent value in the accounts we have. "

We know they are dragging there heals trying to get us to Mar 2nd. They have said the process will be done by the end of March. There is no turning back at this point!

And i know people say its not about us!! I will argue otherwise!! A lot of people died and bled to get us here and that value has no price!! Yes we are privileged and humbled to be able to be in this investment. I see them wrapping up the RI anytime from here on .

I see them working on all other laws throughout this next month. No i am not stating end of March i am just putting out what they are telling us.

We should see this thing wind down real quick!!! I am starting to get excited again!! Much Love and pay it forward!!

After the collapse of oil prices and home valuations in 1986 the oil sands mining town of Fort McMurray became a semi-desolate place of reduced expectations. One of the two mining operations went on strike and I remember the workers picketing on the highway near the site access.

As a teenager my friends and I would drive around an area we called The Dead Roads.

The Dead Roads were a planned subdivision which had been under development when the collapse of 1986 happened. The roads had been built, the sidewalks and curbs set, and the utility services to the lots had been roughed in. But no houses had been built.

The price of oil had crashed from $32 a barrel to $10 a barrel in only a 4 month period. Many people lost their jobs with many of those leaving Fort McMurray and moving back to whatever place in Canada they had come from.

I MUST SAY TO OUR ROOM I AM SO VERY HAPPY TO SEE THE LEVEL OF UNDERSTANDING YOU HAVE ALL GROWN INTO.

I SPEAK FOR NOVA WHEN I SAY SEEING THIS ROOM SO CALM AND SO UNDERSTANDING OF WORLD EVENTS AND BANK EVENTS AND EVEN IRAQ EVENTS MAKE ALL WE DO WORTH WHILE.

Q. Are we really close or are we waiting on June or further out?

Arthur: IMO based on everything I see and am hearing from our Arteam we are closer than close. Although nothing is impossible in Iraq, an unforeseen circumstance would have to occur to prolong this process indefinitely.

The GOI/CBI has fast tracked their own procedures by the cessation of the auction regime. This tells us that they are assured of the timely passing of the necessary laws and riders needed to ensure the soon upcoming strength and international structuring of the IQD or they could have easily maintained their auction protocol for a longer period and not added to the already unwieldy liquidity dilemma on top of the inflationary event that the tariffs will engender, tariffs of which they no longer have the luxury of postponing as they are part of the 2015 budget.

[Shredd] if the CBI keeps with a managed float, removes notes one at a time, gives 60 days and then after manually increases the rate, it would suck

[dogznova] if they start doing this to all notes... look out

[Shredd] but the good news is we should be able to strike that scenario off after the 50 is "replaced"

26/02/2015 Iraqi Central Bank announced on Thursday, for the withdrawal of 50 dinars currency from circulation category, pointing out that the replacement will continue for two months.

Today could be an exciting day it appears....the CBI has announced it will be pulling the 50 dinar note from circulation starting March 1 and ending April 30.....big news......

Parliament had a good session, completing 4 laws today.....250 billion dinars arrived in Erbil today to make partial salary payments to the Kurds....looks like there will be some localized borrowing to deal with the budget deficit....2 billion dinars for Social Security is being delivered to Basra.....

World Bank Group continues to provide assistance to Iraq now with aid to transportation....Parliament is optimistic about Baghdad and Erbil reaching agreements on differences.....

Maliki's noose tightens as the investigation into Mosul winds down.

R&R > February 26, 2015 at 10:21am Great news today Exogen. So they sent money to the Kurds, they are expecting to pay salaries next week (which for them starts Sunday, 3/1/15), and at the same time the CBI says it's discontinuing the 50 note and replacing them starting March 1st

Coincidence? I DON'T THINK SO!!! Let's get it done!

If you thought there was a liquidity crunch in Iraq before, there's REALLY going to be one starting on Sunday.

We know almost all of the three zero notes inside Iraq have been pulled from circulation, and at the same time auctions of the USD stopped.

Citizens are making purchases in dinar are doing so with what few notes they have held on to. But take out the 50 and other small notes and how are they supposed to make change and/or do business?

This process is coming to an end .... FAST!
....
