STEWARDSHIP AT LIFEHOUSE

Stewardship is at the core of Lifehouse Church.  The Scriptures give all of us guidelines for being good stewards and the teachings of Jesus lay the groundwork for living a life of stewardship.   Lifehouse tithes, and we give 10% to support a number of ministries locally and throughout the United States.

This month, I would like to highlight Open Arms Pregnancy Clinic of Northridge.  The Clinic provides confidential free services to help women and men face an unexpected pregnancy.  An unexpected pregnancy presents conflicting emotions and questions.  Women often deal with complex issues and can benefit by talking it through with someone who understands.  

In addition to providing access to multiple services for women, the center also offers services to men.  Trained male mentors help men process their feelings which may vary from excitement to being overwhelmed.  For both men and women the center educates them to feel more prepared and confident.

In the words of a young woman who received services from the center: 

"They made me realize my true ideals on the situation and made them clear.  I learned to think twice about choices, and their advice was helpful to me in my development into becoming a mom."
