Conservatory Duo

We love this jacketing from a top Italian mill. The linen/cotton blend is lightweight, but stable for jackets of any style. We chose two colorways to make it more interesting for you. The woven botanical design has elegant lines which add to the sophistication of the fabric. If a tailored sheath dress is for you, this fabric would work well with a creamy Ambiance underlining. 52% linen/48% cotton.

cotton poplin
special purchase

Fine cotton prints are the norm from the French mills. This one does not disappoint. We chose it because of the unique print and the rich earth tone colors. Choose a jacket style top or a safari dress to complement the design. Available in two colorways, the base tones resemble but do not mimic camouflage in army or desert. However, the print is very urban. Cotton/Elastane

rayon batik

We chose a number of batiks this season-some we have already introduced with more to come in future mailers. We are seeing a return to the drapey silhouette for some fashions and rayon batik is a wonderful choice for comfortable warm weather styles-remember it was created in the south sea islands. Cool char brown dragonfly motifs flutter with bouncing spheres over a base of soft gray green mixed with splashes of violet and bronze
See our Pinterest Board for inspiration on sewing with rayon batiks.

printed linen cotton

While meandering the showrooms in New York's garment district we fell upon this cotton/linen print imported from Italy. We were stunned by its beauty. We would have purchased much more had it been available, but as with most of our goods, there is a limited quantity. There should be enough to go around, but if you are passionate about this print, do not hesitate. The fabrication is a fine linen and cotton blend, soft to the touch with a slight drape due to its light weight. Think slightly constructed blouse, dress or skirt. Soft turquoise, aqua and royal blue are contrasted with cool earthy brown and soft black. Although the motifs are somewhat suggestive of a reptilian theme, we were caught off guard with our reaction to it as a peacock display. Watch the roll out and see what you think.

cotton stretch voile

This floral bouquet display is delightfully rendered on white cotton voile crinkle. Boldly colored flowers are gathered into full bouquets that cascade the length of the fabric. Rich violet purple, ultramarine, wine red, aquamarine accented with lemon yellow and deep citrus green. This is an ideal cotton for summer dresses, tops and skirts. Imported for a NYC designer. Cotton/stretch

cotton thick yarn tweed

Bold turquoise leads the way in this thick yarn tweed that weaves in and out of a black base. Great choice for a jacket that mimics a Chanel style. Use our Gridweft interfacing for flexible stability. Originally milled for Theory. All Cotton.

rayon satin

Soft and drapey this rayon satin print is perfect for spring/summer dresses or skirts. The floral design is rendered in deep turquoise, bright spearmint, violet and black accented with wisps of lilac. Large clusters of florals fall on a soft white ground. The largest blossoms measure 3-4 inches. Consider patterns that fall softly from the shoulder or the waist to best display this stunning print.

rayon spandex jersey

Love florals, but want a knit rather than a woven? This one's for you. Rayon/spandex jersey knit printed with a climbing vine in greens from crayon t o spearmint to lime supporting purple blue blossoms. Accents of pure white contrast to the black ground. Perfect for a wrap dress or a top with a drape front.
