Presented as part of the City of West Hollywood's free outdoor Summer Sounds music series, Louie Cruz Beltran is a popular entertainer, bandleader, vocalist, and master percussionist who has appeared at top venues and festivals, including the 34th Annual Playboy Jazz Festival at the Hollywood Bowl, the Oakland Jazz Festival, Catalina's Jazz Club, and Herb Alpert's Vibrato. His CD "Paint The Rhythm" charted nationally, and continues to get airplay internationally. Louie has provided entertainment for top corporate events and awards shows, including the after party for the Alma Awards, and the National Hispanic Media Coalition Impact Awards. "The Solar House: Pioneering Sustainable Design" (Publisher: Rizzoli, 2013) is a lecture, visual presentation and book signing by author, architect and educator, Tony Denzer. The program is a unique look at solar sustainability and the history of modern architecture. The program will provide a new perspective on the topic for architects and designers, environmentalists, historians and anyone interested in popular culture. Tony Denzer's book offers the opportunity to view the solar house in a whole new way as he traces the origins of the solar house back to its roots in the modern architecture movement of the 1930's -1960's.
