Past OSAP Loans

The National Student Loan Service Centre sent out an email recently to students to remind them that if they are returning to school to take appropriate action.

If you have received OSAP funding this year (or government funding from your home province if you are not an Ontario resident) and that funding has been issued to you, no further action is required.

However, if you  have previous government student loans, have not received funding again this year, and are registered in a minimum of 60% of a full course load (3.0 courses in both terms) or you have a permanent disability and registered in 40% of a full course load (2.0 courses in both terms), then you do need to ensure that you take action to update your registration. Students with previous OSAP loans need to complete a "Continuation of Interest-Free Status Form" available on the OSAP website under Forms or on King's website under "Money Matters" and bring to Student Financial Services with your Social Insurance card and government photo ID.
