The New York City premiere of HERE ONE DAY at DOC NYC

was a huge success! The line of ticket holders stretched all the way down the block. Over 400 people packed the theater. Many of the great artists who helped make the film and all of the subjects in the film shared the stage with me afterwards for a fantastic Q&A. See great pix below!

HERE. WE ARE REACHING THOUSANDS WITH THIS FILM. YOUR CONTRIBUTION WILL BE OF ENORMOUS HELP.

Our community screenings have been incredible. Audiences have laughed, cried, hugged and connected with local mental health and suicide groups in attendance. I recently facilitated screenings and discussions of HERE ONE DAY in Cleveland, Baltimore, San Francisco, and New York City. Here's what audiences are saying:

"Seeing this film will make me bolder when talking to friends and family who are dealing with mental health issues."

"Thank you for making this breathtaking and courageous film. I have bipolar disorder and I want my sons to see it to help them better understand me."

"As a potential chaplain, this film reminded me to keep learning how to recognize mental illness and its impact on families and how to encourage openness in families about these issues."

"As a nursing and psychology student, most of what I know about mental health comes from lectures and reading assignments. Your film allowed me to see into the real life of the person who lived with the illness and how the illness affected the entire family. Your film will help me not only care for my patients, but for their families as well."

"This film reminded me to be physically close to the ones I love and to give more 'I love you's' and hugs."

Please remember:

To avoid terminology that diminishes individuals with mental health challenges, such as "whacko," "nuts," "psycho" and other detrimental words.

If you are struggling with depression or other mental illness and need someone to talk to, the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK (8255) can, literally, be a life saver.
