New flood protection regulations and maps
The Board of County Commissioners has adopted the new Flood Protection Regulations and the final Flood Insurance Rate Maps. The Maps identify the boundaries of Special Flood Hazard Areas. Residents are encouraged to find out more as some boundaries have changed.  Learn more >
Best tasting drinking water in the region

The Florida Section American Water Works Association Region VIII Best Tasting Drinking Water Contest was held on March 12. For the second year in a row, Martin County Utilities won, besting 11 Water Treatment Plants in the region. The County now advances to state competition on May 5.

Einstein comes to life @ the Blake

Basketball for the preschool crowd

Waterpark is open for business on weekends

Sailfish Splash Waterpark is officially open for the 2015 Season! The Waterpark is open all weekends (as well as Monday, April 6 and Monday, May 25) until June 3 when the facility switches to 7-day-a-week operation for the summer. Come cool down as the weather begins to heat up!  Learn more >

County participates in tsunami drill

Martin County Fire Rescue Emergency Management and other local partners participated in a tsunami drill facilitated by the Melbourne Weather Office and Alaska Tsunami Warning Center on March 25. The County has been proactive by planning for tsunamis since 2009. Learn more >
