Family, Leaders, and Ariel Residents Remember Ron
On Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015, Mayor Eliyahu Shaviro, the Nachman family, Ariel residents and Israeli leaders paid homage to Ron Nachman's legacy by laying the cornerstone to the Ron Nachman Memorial Site and Pioneers Museum.

Hours before the Cornerstone Ceremony for the Ron Nachman Memorial Site and Pioneers Museum, Prime Minister Netanyahu delivered a speech at Ariel University. He then met with Dorith Nachman and Ron's brother, Dan, to review the plans for the Ron Nachman Memorial Site and Pioneers Museum (pictured).

Rabbi Tzion Tawil Affixes Mezuzah on New Home
After nine and a half years of living in a trailer camp, the displaced residents of Gush Katif, Gaza, who found refuge and community in Ariel, are finally moving into their permanent homes. On January 21, Rabbi Tzion Tawil, of the destroyed Gaza Jewish community of Netzarim, affixed the mezuzah to his new home, marking then end of a ten year aspiration for a place to call home and daily normalcy.

A modest gathering on a cool January evening may arguably have been the most significant development the "settler movement" has seen since the 2005 Disengagement from Gaza. In terms of quantity, it was a seemingly insignificant dedication of a single semi-detached home on a quiet street still under construction. In terms of quality, it revealed the soul of a "settler", the admiration of his students and an evolving partnership with a city perched upon the crossroads of Israel's future.

Snow in Ariel
January saw "White Ariel" with the city blanketed in snow during a storm the swept the country. As residents stayed warm in their homes or built snowmen, the gazelles at Ariel's wildlife reserve jumped across the snowy hills to let us capture some beautiful shots. Keeping Ariel's Residents Warm
The Department of Social Welfare made sure no Ariel resident was left out in the cold. With temperatures reaching xxx degrees during the snow storm, the Department distributed radiators to families in need of some extra warmth.

Morningstar Biblical Tours Take Interest in Ariel
Regina Malloy and Leigh Cooper of Morningstar Tours, which specializes in Biblical tours, explore Ariel with Avi Zimmerman to explore what Ariel has to offer for future tour groups. One of the highlights of their visit was a tour of the Biblical garden and exhibit of Temple replicas at the Eshel HaShomron hotel.
