Greetings!

 

The ship looks great!  The cover is off and the paint is fresh.  The next update will fill  you in on the contract to raise the masts. The work on that project has just started.   And DCR has announced there will be a full time Interpreter this summer starting June 1.  See the article below to apply. Thank you to DCR for all the progress.

What's Been Happening

David Pires has joined Manny and Paul this winter and this crew worked hard all winter on various projects, including rebuilding the aft section of the cover after the blizzard.  More details and photos....

Schooner Ernestina Commission Meeting 

 

The next Commission meeting is scheduled for Thursday, May 23, 2013 at 1:00 pm at the New Bedford Whaling National Historical Park Visitors' Center. 33 William St. New Bedford.

Schooner Ernestina-Morrissey Association, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation with the purpose of raising funds to provide for the maintenance, equipment, manning, programming and operation of the Schooner Ernestina ex Effie M. Morrissey  as a sail training vessel, school ship, and educational enterprise.
