This Week's Challenge: Congestive heart failure (CHF) is one of the top health conditions targeted by telehealth programs, according to about 53 percent of healthcare companies who responded to HIN's third annual industry survey on telehealth and telemedicine. We wanted to see which other health conditions are targeted by telehealth programs.

What We Learned: HIN's telehealth and telemedicine e-survey captured data on targeted populations for telehealth programs, health activities being monitored remotely, the greatest barrier or challenge to telehealth implementation, and much more. According to the 129 healthcare companies who responded, the top five health conditions telehealth programs target are:
- CHF: 53.4 percent
- Diabetes: 50 percent
- Hypertension: 37.9 percent
- COPD: 37.9 percent
- Mental health: 31 percent
