Things are changing!!!
"See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?" Isaiah 43:19
God is moving FAST!
Things are changing. God is calling Love at Work Ministries to grow by itself in Alajuelita.   We know that all things that are alive have to grow and change, and because you are a friend of the ministry we want to share this good news with you.
In August we opened our Alajuelita Education Center.  This is an awesome place, where we are offering to our scholarship students the latest technology labs, access to internet and many other resources that help their learning.  This place is not only for tutoring, it has become an oasis in the life of these young kids.  They never want to leave!  Every day we have a nice group of boys and girls that come to study, have fun and grow.

Next February we will open a PreK and Daycare.  We are excited about this because the community needs a Christian place that will help in the formative years of children.  And we know healthy projects grow, so we intend to open the elementary and high school soon after.  As you know LAWM serves in many areas of life, but we understand education is the most powerful way to make a change in this community.
"Christian Community of Grace"
We are a Christian organization.  And with that we know that the Gospel of Jesus is the right answer to human problems.  So God guided to us to plant a new church, a different type of church.  We want to fulfill the work and mission description Jesus left us in Matthew 28:19, to "go and make disciples".  We want to equip people to become disciples willing to live the Gospel, with all its risks.

God is calling us to form a different generation of disciples, lovers of the Bible, confident in our justification through the cross, close to God, but also close to our neighbors.  Only the Church is equipped to give hope to the hopeless, and this type of leadership is required.  We will be a radical church, radical in the way we show love.  Disciples of the church will form the basis of the volunteers for all of our ministries at Love At Work.  When we build houses, church people will be the ones building the houses, not hired staff.

Our disciples will be involved in the education programs, the school, our ministries in nutrition and health care, and with the youth.  We will depend more on disciples and hire less staff.

Arturo, Pastor of the new church, "Radical is not rebellious, radical means rooted.  Radical in Christ.  Rooted to live a joy-filled life with Jesus that produces fruit to help others.  To work with the poor, help the sick, and give a hand up to the next generation that will only be overcome with strong Christian education."
"It's big, it's awesome and we're trusting Him!"
We all feel very excited to be a part of this plan God has shown us. It's big, and it's awesome, and we're trusting Him to direct us step by step.   And to provide all that we need.

We can do this.  It's going to take time, tears, hard work, faith and a lot of courage. But Jesus is with us, we can do this with Him.

"Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! AMEN"
