    Last week we talked about Divine Love and how it may be showing up in our lives and the ways in which we can be open to even more of it. This Sunday, as we conclude our month of focusing on different aspects of love, we'll consider how you are a vehicle for this love into a far-reaching landscape -- how the Divine and you as a love-force can have a powerful impact in the world. We can ask, "How can we strengthen our knowledge of the Divine connection? What are we able to do as individuals and as a spiritual community to create more good, to make things even better? We hope you'll be able to be with us this Sunday as we consider the Divine Love Triangle. We will be graced with the lyrical, thoughtful, inspiring music of Sean Arington.  

About Sean:

Sean has been variously in and out of the music scene in Athens, GA for almost twenty years. He's still writing and crafting, it never stops, and he's hoping to get it out more, drive it around the town more often, maybe take it on a road trip or two...ballads and missives, stories and wishes, sometimes candid, sometimes esoteric, old fashioned and modern, old timey and new...he likes to sing pretty and he loves to whistle, too...he's adept at entertaining any room, large or small, full on bells and bangles, or gently filling a more intimate space with soothing crooning and thoughtful melodies...lilting and rhythmic, warm and playful, Sean's music is great recorded but he really shines live. Catch this Sunday's performance at Unity Athens!

2:00 ~ 3:30   A Course in Miracles class ~ Details below

Morning Quietude meets in the Lobby area (through the double glass doors in the middle of the building). Led by Rev. Bronte, this is a time for quiet contemplation, soft music, and centering. Whether you join us as a pre-service preparation time, a stand-alone "church service," or as a preface to your other Sunday plans, we welcome all. If you arrive after 9:40, that's fine, just please turn off phone, etc., and quietly join the circle. Donations are appreciated. Reiki practitioners are often available to freely give healing touch and energy.

The Unity Athens "Unexpected Income Program" has been a great success!

For just a few more days you can still request a sign-up form through Facebook or by emailing us at [email protected], and pick an "end date" of up to March 19. How does it work? When you register to participate, you receive an Unexpected Income Kit that includes a Daily Prayer for Abundance, affirmations, a tracking sheet, and more. A Prayer Team, including Rev. Bronte, will be praying for your prosperity. When signing up, participants agree to tithe 10% of "Unexpected Income" to Unity Athens during the course of the program. YES! An upcoming DEEKSHA "Oneness Blessing" at UNITY ATHENS will be March 22 at 3:30.

Experience the "Oneness Blessings" regularly held at Unity Athens! The next gathering will be facilitated by Oneness Trainer, Mark Buhrke. Mark and Blessing Givers from Athens & Atlanta are hoping will be able to experience the next Oneness Blessing Circle, held on Sunday, March 22 from 3:30 to about 5:00. This is given on a "Love offering" basis with donations going toward the Unity Athens Expansion Fund. 

     Also known as Deeksha, the Oneness Blessing is "the transfer of intelligent sacred energy, Divine Grace, which causes the heart to flower, heals relationships, quiets the constant chatter of the mind, opens the door to higher states of awareness, and initiates a process of permanent awakening into Oneness where there is no longer a sense of separation and personal suffering. What remains is causeless love, joy and peace in the present moment." First-time blessing receivers report a powerful sense of being graced with Spirit's presence; those who've received the blessing before report ever-deepening levels of awareness.

TWO NEW BOOK STUDY GROUPS!

1) Started Wed., Feb. 11, 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. & continues on Wednesdays at the west side home of one of our members.

 We are reading and discussing the book, YOUR INVISIBLE POWER by Genevieve Behrend. If you like Florence Scovel Shinn, Catherine Ponder and Deepak Chopra, we think you will enjoy this slim but deep book. Ms. Behrend was the only student ever accepted by Judge Thomas Troward, one of the most influential New Thought pioneers, for one-on-one classes. The story of how she was accepted and raised the money to live in England during her time as his student, is an intriguing example of the power of our thoughts and intentions. The book is available free in the public domain New Thought Library listed by author. A limited amount of copies will be available for sale in class for $6 and that version is also on Amazon at this page. Space will be limited for this 6-week class, so please sign up / register on Sundays if you plan to attend. Even if you weren't able to be at the first meeting, it's not too late to register and join us for future Wednesdays. On Wed., Feb. 25, we will cover chapters 4, 5, & 6.

2) Starts Tues., Feb. 24, from 1:45 to 3:15 at the east side home of Rev. Bronte & continues on Tuesdays. 
We will be reading and discussing the classic Unity book, LESSONS IN TRUTH by H. Emilie Cady. Often called the "standard textbook of Unity," this intriguing work offers rich insights into our divine nature and connection as well as practical information on living a life of "truth." If you are interested, please register via email at [email protected] or sign up on at Unity Athens on Sundays. You do not have to commit to attending every Tuesday, but we do ask you to read the assigned chapters and be prepared for discussions. If purchasing the book, we suggest you get the COMPLETE WORKS OF H. EMILIE CADY, although other editions will work fine. The Amazon link is here.  It is also available free in the New Thought Library (search by author last name). We also have a limited number of copies in our bookstore on Sundays.

 A COURSE IN MIRACLES. Taught by the highly experienced and insightful facilitator, Drew Smith, this popular class dives deeply into A Course, while making the text even more understandable and relevant to daily life. Open to all.  If you don't own the book, there's always someone willing to share. Because of the ongoing nature of this class, feel free to stop in as you can, or to participate every Sunday.  Donations are accepted and appreciated.

CommUnity Movies, popular movie & DVD showings, meet monthly, usually on the second Sunday. Stay tuned for details on the next movie. Join us then around the extra-big screen TV for a casual atmosphere of spiritual films and DVDs plus interesting discussions for those that chose to stay for a bit after. Feel free to bring your own snacks and beverages. CommUnity Movie cost is $5. NOTE: The Feb. 08  movie had to be cancelled due to technical issues. We know that folks love these movies and we are working out some technical glitches. Watch for new titles and a new date soon, most likely on March 8.
