Harley-Davidson is Cruising in India
The Indian unit of U.S. motorcycle manufacturer Harley-Davidson will start exporting two models to Europe and other parts of Asia as the iconic superbike maker seeks to accelerate sales in markets beyond the U.S. Harley makes the bikes at two plants-one in the U.S. and another in Gurgaon in Haryana, on the outskirts of New Delhi.

Arun K. Singh has been appointed as India's next Ambassador to the U.S. Singh succeeds Dr. S. Jaishankar, who was appointed as the Foreign Secretary in January. Singh is currently the Indian Ambassador to France. He was Deputy Chief of Mission in Embassy of India, Washington DC from 2008-2013 and also served at India's Permanent Mission to the United Nations from 1993 to 1997.
The Railways Ministry has received $1.6 billion in investment commitments from private sector companies for the development of 19 projects, Railways Minister Manoj Sinha told Parliament. Areas for private participation include suburban corridors, high-speed rail, dedicated freight lines, rolling stock, locomotive manufacturing facilities and railway electrification.
U.S. networking giant Cisco has announced a Cisco India Advisory Board comprising five industry leaders to advise the India leadership team on strategic matters and help the company tap new business opportunities in Digital India.
Reserve Bank of India has cut the key lending rates, just days after the Government's new Budget. The Central Bank was not scheduled to issue a rate decision and the stocks surged on the news. RBI said in a statement that with inflation in control, the Bank felt it had room to act in support of the economy.
The Government has approved four-laning of six highways, spread across five states, including Himachal Pradesh, West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh, having a total length of 442 miles at a cost of $2 billion.
