Dear Colleague, Before 8:00 p.m. EDT on June 21, we have to choose approximately 85 new RSC Fellows who will form the Class of 2013. This is a responsibility that is critical to the RSC's vitality, credibility and influence in recognizing excellence-the first of the Society's three objectives in its mission to promote knowledge-in the intellectual, artistic and scientific fields. This is a complex task, not only because of the scope and plurality of the candidates' areas of expertise, but also because our organization is committed to reflecting the rich and vast composition of the Canadian landscape.
