If you haven't noticed yet, I'd like to direct you to a new feature of your membership. We've updated our website tremendously thanks to the expertise of Ross Teasley and Yvette Wang of Casa Dana Group.
We are always looking for ways to improve the Dana Point Chamber of Commerce and we believe this new website will do just that. Check out some of our new and updated features:

Visitors can now search for your business categorically and geographically allowing your business to gain exposure to those seeking your services. Each business has its own dedicated listing which can be updated with photos and a business description. Check it out now!

Our event calendar allows visitors to keep up-to-date on ribbon cuttings, committee meetings, mixers and community events. Our Live & Play section allows guests to view information regarding annual events in Dana Point along with resources for dining, weddings, hotel accommodations and recreational activities.

Construction Alert from South Coast Water District
Water Pipeline Construction Work Scheduled to Begin in Early November
|
South Coast Water District (SCWD) will continue construction near you on a portion of the Dana Point Town Center Water, Sewer and Storm Drain Improvement Project. The project will bring added water, sewer and storm drain facilities to the area and provide the infrastructure necessary for the City's Town Center Project.
Pipeline construction is anticipated to begin in early November 2013 and last through early 2014.

Ocean Institute Million Dollar Home Raffle Deadline Nears
|
|
The final deadline to buy tickets for the Ocean Institute's 9th Annual Laguna Beach Million Dollar Home Raffle is midnight on Thursday, October 24. Tickets are $150 each.
The grand prize is $1 million or a Laguna Beach home. Single ticket buyers qualify for a chance at winning the grand prize and a share of $25,000 worth of bonus prizes. Buy two tickets and have a chance at the grand prize and $65,000 in bonus prizes. A maximum of 20,000 tickets will be sold. Proceeds benefit educational programs at the Ocean Institute.The grand prize drawing will be held, Saturday, November 9 at the Ocean Institute,

This event is open to members and non-members to attend. Attendees will have the opportunity to network, discuss their business with others and generate new business leads - while supporting a great chamber member restaurant!
The cost to attend is $15 for members and $20 for non-members and includes lunch, beverage and gratuity.
Our gracious host isn't typically open for lunch, so this is sure to be treat for our members! Because of the venue's capacity, we must limit the amount of attendees to 60. We strongly recommend that you pre-register for this event as walk-up registrations will be limited.

The Doheny Hotel
The Doheny Hotel is a proposed development of three parcels at the corner of Dana Point Harbor Drive and PCH, including the Dana Harbor Inn, Jack in The Box, and the abandoned Liquor Store. The 1.5 acre development would enhance the sense of arrival to the gateway of the City of Dana Point and the beach, with a new County Harbor sign and landscaping, as well as providing public parking.

Daniel Benzali Performs at the Ocean Institute

In support of the Elephant Parade in Dana Point, members of the Dana Point business community are invited to take an exciting glimpse into an artist's world as veteran character actor Daniel Benzali makes a rare appearance, performing in three short plays about artists and their art at Dana Point's Ocean Institute this Sunday night, October 27th at 6 PM. Suggested donation is $25 at the door. Donations support the Dana Point Elephant Parade, the Dana Point Symphony and the new Vivant Theatre opening soon in Dana Point.
