City of Westland Opens Warming Centers

January 5, 2015 - January, 9, 2015

Westland, MI - Mayor William R. Wild announces that in response to the extreme cold, the City of Westland has opened several warming centers around the City for Monday, January 5 - Friday, January 9. The dates may be extended if the cold spell continues. Sub-zero temperatures with even lower wind chills can be very dangerous and any exposure to the outside should be limited with temperatures like this. Below is a listing of the location with their address and the hours the warming center will be opened.

William P. Faust Public Library - 6123 Central City Parkway - 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday - Thursday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday.
Dorsey Center - 32715 Dorsey - 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Friendship Center - 1119 N. Newburgh - 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday and Thursday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday.
