2012 Series Expansion To Canada
The NW Challenge has expanded to Canada with a new Canadian company called X-Treme AirDogs Canada, INC.

We have 3 Pack Training sites with more coming on line!  The plan is to have national events and a points series just like our USA region in canada then a North American Championship 2 weeks after the USA National Championships!

2013 X-TREME AIRDOGS NATIONAL FAIR TOUR

This Block is for Each Round of Competition Information
This Electronic Info Pack will Be Sent Out Before Each Fair Round

Series Information

Series Expands
You asked for it and we made it happen and now we need your help!
X-Treme AirDogs has expanded its national fair series tour south into California for the first time since 2005!

We excepted the challenge and we are building a second team along with all the equipment for a second unit.  knowing that this is what our competitors have been asking for and thats more events!  We need as many competitors as possible to put the high energy standing room only crowds into these venues something that X-Treme AirDogs is known for, please make plans to join us at the Sonoma County Fair July 25-Aug 11!

Series Schedules

The first 3 rounds of the series is up on this information packet and Douglas County Fair (round #4) and the Oregon state Fair (round #5,6)  will follow up in the next news letter within the next week.  All venue maps, Rv, Hotel, and hot links are up for each fair and rounds on the left side of this info pack.

New Division Added

We are adding another division called X-Treme Pro because our X-Treme Air was not only broken but shattered by Lise strum and Phoebe with a new record of 28' 8"!  As we expand the series more big jumping dogs are competing with us and jumping over 25ft to 27ft is common now!  To make it fair to our strong Pro division of over 20ft we have added the X-Treme Pro division.  The Pro division distance will be from 20ft to 24' 11", this way we can keep one of our most competitive divisions intake and that will give us 5 divisions on the Chase to a National championships!

 Wave fee's
Wave fess locked in at $20 on site and in pre-registration and they will stay at $20!  Their is a slight fee for using a credit card on line.   If you would like to get into a specific wave you can still do so on site at least one hour before the wave you want.  I highly suggest that you pre-register early on line if you need a specific time to compete, their are no guarantees but we never turn anyone away!

Series Web Site
We apologize for the lack of information updates and terrible shape of our series web site it is now in the capable hands of our western Canada manager Aaron Grant who is an expert in the field of computer science!  We hope to get the schedules, pre-registration and general information back in good working order with in this and the first of next week.  Our Face Book page will always have updated information on it!

Membership DuesThe implementation of membership dues will help us keep our current benefits as well as offer new ones!  Please look at our membership section of the newsletter for detailed information.  This year all competitors are required to be a member of the Nw Challenge/X-Treme AirDogs to compete for a National Championships.  You do not have to be a member if you want to just have fun and jump your dog in competition and not gain points toward the championship on September 3rd!

 NW Challenge Series Survey
We listened to what our competitors wanted and here are the changes.  The number 1 thing on the survey was to guarantee permanent $20 waves whether you pre-register, or sign-up on site!  Our series trade mark is about having fun with high energy standing room only venues!   Sharing the passion for this sport, having fun and the camaraderie of hanging out together for multiple days!   82.7% of you said that fun and camaraderie was the most important thing and we plan to make our series even more fun and exciting in the future.  Our competitors are our extended family members and we try hard to treat you like family!

One of our competitors posted this statement in the survey;
"The thing I loved most about your event last summer is it was so inviting.  Other dock jumping companies are a bit snobby and uninviting. I would hope you would continue to be just as informal (in a good way) inviting, freindly, as you were last year."

Official  2013  Series  Event  schedule
Chase To The Championship Fair Series Tour
X-Vertical National Champion Cera//Elsie w/40
The X-Treme AirDogs Dock Jumping National Championship series is a national points series championships tour. Each round is very important, as competitors will have two ways to win! To be a points champion it will depend on your placement at each event.  Each 5 divisions for the points champion is like NASCAR the team with the most points in their division after 6 rounds will be crowned a national points champion on Sept 3, 2013.  The second way will be the true national champion who will qualify for our national finals by meeting the minimum amount of points from the series to make the finals preliminary wave.  From the finals preliminary wave we will pick the top 8 for the novice & amateur divisions and the top 12 for each the pro and X-Treme Pro division! Hosted during finals week by the Oregon State Fair in Salem, Oregon.

How The Pack Training Program Works

The Nw Challenge and its parent company Meadowview Productions are expanding its reach and the sport of dock jumping by developing permanent training sites called "Packs" across the whole North West! In November of 2011 Meadowview Productions announced that its insurance underwriter accomplished a monumental task by adding private host sites for training onto its liability insurance package. This new training program and the host sites for competitors will be called "Packs" and will be an arm of the X-Treme AirDogs K-9 Challenge. There will be no need to form a non-profit club, and all the expense and time its takes to run and organize it. Competitors will have access to what they have asked for: a fun, high tech, weekly/monthly training sites with a manager/trainer, and no hassles or headaches for the busy members. These training facilities will be for all levels of competitors, from the amateurs to the pros, and first timers to the sport! We will have different training times for seasoned and new competitors  depending on the number of members in that region.

How it works:

Training facility :
- Private Pond w/40ft competition dock
- 20ft Give It a try dock
- EV training
- X-Treme Retrieve training

*Pond must be at least 6ft deep and dog safe water
*Pond landowner will receive a liability certificate of insurance

Volunteer Staff needed:
Region site trainers & Managers
If you are interested in hosting a training site or want to be a staff member.

Cost:
Members: $25 per day
Non Members:  $35per day
Drop Ins welcome
*Check on web site forum for each regions training site schedules
*The cost covers the liability Insurance on the training sites.

We are looking for host training sites in these regions:
- Central Oregon
- Northern Oregon
- Northern Nevada
- Northern California
- Southern California
Eastern Washington

We have secured training sites and managers in these regions:  *See top of page
