Attention 3rd & 4th Year Students Looking into Master's study
King's is hosting a Canada Graduate Scholarship Master's Application General Information Session on Monday, October 28th in LH217 at 5:30pm. No registration is required. Dr. Erin Hannah will be presenting general information on the application process, and Sandy Anderson will be in attendance to assist with general inquiries.
If you are applying for admission to a research-based Master's degree program in any discipline at a Canadian university for the 2014-2015 academic year you may be eligible to apply for a Canada Graduate Scholarship.
National Application Deadline: December 1st 2013, and it applies to all applicants across Canada. APPLY NOW for a Canada Graduate Scholarship to support your master's-level studies next year.

Nominations for Teaching in Excellence Award
Nominations for The King's University College Award For Teaching in Excellence will be accepted until Nov. 15. Students who wish to nominate a faculty member should direct their letters or emails to Marilyn Mason, Registrar. Letters or emails should include the name of the nominated faculty member as well as the reasons for the nomination (such as classroom instruction, mentoring, curriculum or course design, tutoring and advising or innovative teaching methods). For further information, please go to the Registrar's Office.

COU launches student contest in mental health
The Council of Ontario Universities has launched a new competition that asks university students how they would use social media to promote social change in mental health on campus, in an effort to get students talking about mental health and to break down stigmas. The Mental Health 2.0 competition is open to individuals or teams, who will submit social media campaign plans for a chance to win prizes of $1,500 for first place, $1,000 for second place, and $500 for third place. The contest, which is funded by the Ontario government, is open until November 29 and winners will be announced in March.
