Brace Road Overcrossing Closures 

Motorists can expect the following closures during the next project lift process 

 

January 25 through February 9

The Brace Road Overcrossing will be CLOSED to all traffic starting this Sunday, January 25 and will reopen on Monday, February 9. 

 


 
January  27 and 28

Interstate 80 in Loomis will be CLOSED to all traffic in both directions on Tuesday, January 27 and Wednesday, January 28 from 11 PM to 5 AM on both nights for the lift process. An 8-mile detour will be in effect. 

Eastbound I-80
  • Take the Sierra College Boulevard off-ramp toward Sierra College Boulevard.
  • Take Sierra College Boulevard north toward Taylor Road.
  • Take Taylor Road northeast toward the I-80/Highway 193 interchange.
  • Head east on I-80 at the I-80/Highway 193 interchange.
Westbound I-80
  • Take the Taylor Road off-ramp toward Taylor Road.
  • Take Taylor Road southwest toward Sierra College Boulevard.
  • Take Sierra College Boulevard south toward the Sierra College Boulevard interchange.
  • Head west on I-80 at the Sierra College Boulevard interchange.

Be Work Zone Alert
We remind drivers to slow their speed in the work zone. Workers are working within inches of live traffic. Traffic is unpredictable and sudden slowing or stopping may occur. Please do not peer into work zones as this can cause collisions if drivers are not paying attention to their driving.
