Project Updates
Magra Overcrossing

The second and final night of the Magra Overcrossing lift process was a success! The first structure of the Raise80 project was lifted to achieve the federally required clearance of 16'6".

I-80 is open, but the overcrossing is still closed through mid-October for miscellanous structure work.

Thank you to Gold Run, Auburn, North Sacramento, and Donner CHP teams for their assistance with highway closures and inspections. Thanks to the City of Colfax for your cooperation. Please remember that business are open during the construction.

Project-Related Closures
  • The Magra Overcrossing is still closed to traffic and is projected to reopen on October 13.

  • Motorists can expect various eastbound and westbound lane closures on I-80 at Magra Road today, September 25 and Friday, September 26 for miscellaneous structure work.
  • The on and off-ramp at Rollins Lake Road/Magra Road (Exit 139) on westbound I-80 is closed until October 31. Motorists are advised to take the Secret Town exit.
