Braxton Thomas and Maurice Thurmond traveled to Washington D.C. this summer with LADD staff Sherri Hurt and Claudie Jones. They went on a breathtaking moonlight tour of the monuments and visited many of the Smithsonian's museums. Braxton said that he enjoyed the African Art museum because he is an artist at Visionaries + Voices and learned a lot about African culture. Sherri says, "The trip was very informing and convenient because Washington D.C. is one of America's wheelchair-friendly places!"
