A HUGE thank you to everyone who voted for us in  Field Law's Community Fund Program. We were selected as a Grand Prize Winner and will be awarded $10,000! With these funds, we will be able to offer 50 free workshops in 2013/14. Thank you to Field Law and all of our supporters!

Mexican Cooking & Women's Issues | Oct 9 (6-8pm)

Join us to cook and share a Mexican meal while talking about women's issues in Mexico. All supplies provided.  

 

Women and Mental Health Issues | Oct 10 (6-8pm)
October 10 is World Mental Health Day and the Calgary Mental Health Advocacy Group is inviting us to hear more about the experiences of women living with mental health issues and the stigma they are experiencing.

Are you concerned about the recent provincial cuts to education, health and social programs? Join members of Women, Creativity & Political Voice and Women Together Ending Poverty to engage in a variety of creative and interactive exercises to examine the issues surrounding the flat tax system in Alberta.

Life After Conflict with the Law | Oct 31 (6-8pm)
The feds call her 842041C. The province calls her 199887. The Young Offender System called her 41817. She prefers Jen. A 36-year-old widowed single mother, Jen is an advocate for women in conflict with the law who will discuss the barriers women face post-incarceration.
