 We are pleased to announce that Molly C. Nance has joined the Water for Food Institute as Public Relations and Communications Director. Her first day was Sept. 22. Molly brings with her over 20 years of experience in marketing and communications from sectors ranging from banking to health care. Most recently, she served as Director of Strategic Planning and Marketing at Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital in Lincoln.
Molly's leadership will help to further raise the profile of the University of Nebraska as a global leader in finding solutions to ensure water and food security. Please feel free to contact Molly Nance at (402) 472-5512 if you have any questions about her role at the institute. |

USEPA 12th Annual P3 Awards: A National Student Design Competition for Sustainability Focusing on People, Prosperity and the Planet - Energy
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), as part of the P3-People, Prosperity and the Planet Award Program, is seeking applications proposing to research, develop and design solutions to real world challenges involving the overall sustainability of human society. The EPA offers the P3 competition in order to respond to the technical needs of the world while moving towards the goal of sustainability.
Amount: $15,000 per award

MacArthur's conservation and sustainable development program makes grants on a three-year recurring cycle, with one portfolio of grants prepared annually within designated geographic regions. Currently accepting inquiries for 2015 Conservation & Sustainable Development grant proposals.

Grants for Projects in Water, Agriculture, and Community DevelopmentThe Vibrant Village Foundation takes a village approach with attention to community needs, community-based organizations, and community leadership. The priority is community projects that are integrated and that can be scaled up as opportunities arise. The areas of focus are water quality; education; agricultural improvements; food security and health; and well-being.
From: $10,000 to $150,000 per year for projects of one to three years.
