GRANTS IN ACTION!

New Teacher Recognition Program

Honor a beloved teacher, administrator or staff member with a donation in their honor to the SEF.  Our new Teacher Recognition Program allows the community to recognize our faculty with a gift that truly supports education.

Donations can also be made in memory of a deceased educator to forever preserve that teacher's commitment to his or her students.

Notification of the gift will be made to the honoree or the deceased's family and will be officially noted on the SEF website and various publications throughout the year.

The SEF's Teacher Recognition Program makes for great gifts at birthday time, end of the year, holiday and more.

3rd Annual Adult Community Spelling Bee
Spell Excellence for our Classrooms

Help the SEF spell excellence for our school children by participating in the third annual Community Adult Spelling Bee at Southington High School April 4 at 7 p.m.

Teams are made up of three spellers who are able to confer with one another over their answer.  Entry fee is $100 per person or $300 per team and is tax deductible.  All proceeds benefit our Southington classrooms.

This is a fun evening with Beemaster Joe Furey, Chief Meteorologist of FOX CT, and judges Dr. Joseph Erardi, Superintendent of Schools, and Language Arts Coordinator Betsy Chester.

Corporate sponsor for this event is Pop's Original Burgers & Fries at 979 Meriden-Waterbury Tpke in Plantsville.  This is the second year that Pop's has sponsored the event.
