                                 Laugh Out Loud

 

 

 

Do you want to know a simple, easy way to increase your happiness and improve your health at the same time? Laugh! Laugh a little, or laugh a lot. When you do you relieve stress and strengthen your immune system. Laughter lowers your blood pressure, triggers the release of endorphins, reduces pain, gives your heart muscles a workout, and increases the oxygen in your lungs. 

Laughter helps you to maintain a positive outlook on life. Not only that but it actually helps us heal. Dr. Bernie Siegel, a renowned medical expert, informs us that by increasing the amount of time spent in laughter and feeling good, you help your body heal itself. Laughter really is good medicine.

The benefits of a laugh stay with you even when the laughter is over. Laughter helps us in times of challenge and personal struggle. Through laughter our spirit is uplifted which helps to build optimism. Laughter can inspire us and help us to build our social connectiveness.

So laugh a little, or a lot.  It will move you out of your head and into your heart.

 

 

              Create Time For Laughter

 

  1. Read funny stories or watch a comedy.
  2. Have lunch with the funniest person you know.
  3. Read a joke book.
  4. Laugh at yourself and what you do that is "funny".
  5. Spend time with a pet noticing how funny their behaviors can be.

    

This week take time to notice how laughter helps shift your perspective on life and your current challenges. Lighten up and have more fun. You deserve it and owe it to yourself.
