A sweet one waiting for a home at Citizens for Humane Action
St. Augustine's News:
So you don't need to wonder
about what's going on!

The first Sunday in February brings us three monthly events.  We'll celebrate
February birthdays and anniversaries; you have the opportunity to give to
Above and Beyond, for the pastor's discretionary fund; and we ask for donations to
Citizens for Humane Action, the animal shelter in Westerville. God bless you for your giving hearts at this giving church, St. Augustine's.

Mark your calendars for the Shrove Tuesday pancake extravaganza on February 17th. The Buehlers have graciously extended an invitation to their home in Powell for the fun! An article follows below under From the Web.

Finally, we welcome Carl to our website and newsletter. You'll find an article from him this week about culture and the Christian perspective.

2015 Parish Meeting
Missions and ministries at St. Augustine's

On Sunday, January 25, 2015, St. Augustine's held its annual parish meeting, starting with the best food a parish could provide! It's evident that the members take their faith walk seriously and accept the mission of the church to be changed by God to make a difference for God.... more

New Worship Team in Place

To begin the meeting, Fr. Philip Sang, Fr. Ron Feister, Fr. Ric Bowser, and Fr. Kevin Maney joined with the music team, comprised of Val Bowser, Timothy Dickey, Ken Matsuda, Tanya Matsuda, and Dondra Maney,  to review the scriptures for the coming three Sundays.   Identifying themes, the group discussed the types of music to bring the Word to life for the congregation. Fr. Kevin challenged the team to provide a mixture of theologically-sound music, from contemporary to classical hymns.  The group acknowledged that music can be divisive...more

Culture from a Christian Perspective
A writing from Carl

Time to get cultured, St. Augustine's! Near the end of last semester, I had discussed contributing something weekly to the website/newsletter with Fr. Kevin and Dondra. Given this, I have decided to present to you each week a different piece of art, whether that be a poem, song, book, film, etc., and some of my reflection on it...more
