Business, Labour & Community: Planning for Prosperity!

Hire Learning Survey is up and running!

Employers understand that challenges need to be addressed...before they become problems.  With this in mind local employers, representing businesses of all sizes, are starting to respond to Workforce Planning Hamilton's Hire Learning Survey, launched on January 2 and concluding on January 31, 2015.

We want to hear from local employers to gather information on your workforce needs and to identify trends in the labour market.

Why should YOU fill it out?
  • The Hire Learning Survey gives you a voice to communicate your workforce needs to the community
  • It will help to identify hard-to-fill jobs and other hiring challenges
  • The survey will identify the need for additional staff training
Don't delay...do the survey today!

Remember: you can do part of the survey, save it and come back later to complete it.
WPH's Hire Learning Initiative includes the Annual Hire Learning Survey

In January 2014, WPH released the first annual Hire Learning Survey (HLS). The survey will be released every January to enable WPH to track emerging trends over time.

A total of 143 employers completed the survey, sharing their real-time labour market information, including current and future hiring needs, skill and educational requirements, etc.

The HLS is part of WPH's Hire Learning Initiative, which includes a series of quarterly job vacancy reports.

Help Wanted in Hamilton gives a snapshot of online jobs

Along with the annual Hire Learning Survey, Workforce Planning Hamilton releases online job vacancy statistics every quarter to capture a portion of real-time labour demand in the community.

The information presented below reflects online job postings from July to September 2014.
