Saturday we were a MINUTE from sending a handful of folks home when a FINAL carload pushed us over the minimum and we were off in BEAUTIFUL weather with CALM seas....yeah, we know...the weatherASS 100 miles from the beach said there would be LINGERING showers and ROUGH surf....'nuff said
To the north we headed and played follow the birds, drift and jig bluefish to 5lbs ALL DAY w/ a brief lull during the slack tide.
Sunday had us SOLD OUT (lovin the registration function of the new CockRobin.com!)
Plan was to head BACK to the north for more pee wee jiggin however in the back of our minds we toyed with the overnight intel of a LARGE body of 8-12lb BLUEFISH that had arrived......
MORE intel from the north as we were underway had the pee wee situation drying up....HARD TO STARBOARD and to the offshore bluefish grounds we went....and are we GLAD we did!!!

Another ALL DAY JIG FEST, this time with 8-12lb JUMBO Capt Jim SIZED BLUEFISH!!! You know, the tear year arm off type!! A27/ 47, tail, no tail PLUS TOPWATER ACTION!!

Oh, we ALSO had a STRIPED BASS landing offshore that was released!!
