VIDEOS & SUMMARY PROCEEDINGS NOW AVAILABLE:

Post-Trial Responsibilities: Ethics and Implementation

On September 18, 2014, Harvard MRCT collaboratively with the Petrie-Flom Center for Health Law Policy, Biotechnology, and Bioethics at Harvard Law School hosted a one-day open conference on post-trial responsibilities at the Harvard Law School.

The objectives of the conference were to discuss implications of international guidance on post-trial responsibilities for clinical research sponsors, governments, investigators, and other stakeholders; to articulate and understand the range of perspectives on post-trial responsibilities; to draw lessons from successful and unsuccessful attempts to implement post-trial access policies, to discuss potential scenarios and practical solutions for post-trial responsibilities that may inform policy in this important area moving forward; and to identify key priorities for a Post-Trial Responsibilities Working Group to be launched by the Multi-Regional Clinical Trials Center at Harvard.

UPCOMING DEADLINE:The Journal of Law and Biosciences: Call for Graduate Student Submissions

The Petrie-Flom Center for Health Law Policy, Biotechnology, and Bioethics at Harvard Law School collaborates with Stanford and Duke Universities to publish The Journal of Law and Biosciences (Oxford University Press), an online, open-access, peer-reviewed journal. JLB includes a New Developments section, comprised of brief summaries and commentary on recent legislation, regulation, and case law written by graduate students at the collaborating schools. The Petrie-Flom Center is responsible for providing the New Developments for one issue per annual volume, and is currently seeking Harvard graduate students to contribute for JLB's Volume 2, Issue 2 (2015).

Topic proposals are due November 30, 2014. Please see here for additional details.
