Few people realize that congenital heart disease is the most common of all birth defects and the leading cause of death for children in their first year of life. Sadly, one of these precious children was Brielle. This is why Brielle’s parents Ike and Kristie Lackey and Dr. Stephen Langley established the Brielle Grace Lackey Visiting Lectureship – and why your philanthropy is instrumental. The visiting lectureship invites a distinguished cardiac surgeon from around the world to share their pioneering techniques with the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital’s pediatric cardiac program. The lectureship’s teachings contribute to the breadth of our program, making it possible for us to provide the best care to children in our area.
Won’t you join us on Saturday, September 21 at Oak Hills Recreation Center for our annual 5K fun run/walk to raise funds for The Brielle Grace Lackey Visiting Lectureship? If you are unable to attend Saturday’s fun run/walk and would like to make a donation, you can do so online: www.brielleheartfund.org or via check. Please make your check payable to Doernbecher Children’s Hospital Foundation, including Brielle Grace Lackey Endowment on the check’s memo line, mailing it to:
Doernbecher Foundation
1121 SW Salmon Street, Suite 100
Portland, Oregon 97205
All proceeds earned at the fun run/walk or donated throughout the year benefit Brielle’s Visiting Lectureship.
We look forward to seeing you Saturday morning! Thank you for honoring Brielle and changing children’s lives one step at a time.
