 OCEANetwork is giving away a Kindle Fire HD at the conference. Each family registered for the conference will be given a passport to the Exhibit Hall. Visit all 11 companies on the passport; listen to a short presentation by those companies; then present your completed passport at the OCEANetwork booth for a chance to win the Kindle Fire HD. The drawing will be held at 5:15 p.m. on Saturday at the close of the final keynote session. You must be present to win.

Refresh and Renew

 It feels so wonderful to spruce up the house with paint and renew the decor. Recently Christine "had the opportunity to freshen up her place with the help of a friend who has a penchant for interior design." The project reminded her how we all often need "a little refreshing and renewing in our school doldrums." Read her blog to find out how she "refreshes and renews" each spring.

The Early Registration deadline is midnight June 10, 2013.
When you register for the conference, your spouse attends for free. Children are welcome, too. (Children are $10 each.) They can attend sessions with you. We also have planned some activities children will enjoy. They can listen to Historical Storyteller Bruce Isham or explore hands-on activities at the Science Fair hosted by Twin Rocks Friends Camp. (Children must be accompanied by a parent at all times.) And grandparents are welcome at the conference, too. (Grandparents are also $10 each.) In fact, they are a great asset. They get to learn what homeschooling is all about AND they can go to some of the activities with your children freeing you up to attend workshops. So bring the whole family. It will be a great two days of inspiration, equipping and fun . . . and encouragement! (Watch the video to see what we mean.)

The Early Registration conference fee is just $50 for an individual with your spouse attending for free. Save an additional $10 by being an OCEANetwork Supporting Family. That makes the conference only $40 for an individual or a couple!
After June 10, 2013, the conference fee is $60 payable at the door. (Or $50 if you become an OCEANetwork Supporting Family.) We have plenty of room this year for walk-in registration, so if you miss the June 10th deadline, don't hesitate to come to the Oregon Convention Center and register at the door.

Volunteers still needed
|
 We still have about 50 openings for volunteers at the conference. As a show of appreciation, our volunteers shop the Used Curriculum Exchange in the first group. (Volunteer shopping time is from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. on Friday, June 21.) In addition so you don't have to feel like you are missing any of the messages, you will receive a coupon for one MP3 download for every session you miss. Most shifts are two and one half hours to three hours long. You must be registered for the conference to volunteer. If you haven't registered yet, volunteer at the time you register. If you have registered and you are willing to help out, please contact us at volunteers@oceanetwork.org. |
