Mondays
5:30- 7:00pm
Starts Dec. 1st
I combine extensive training in physical health sciences (anatomy, kinesiology, physiology) and human behavior with years of experience in the health, wellness and fitness industry to lead energetic and engaging classes. My approach blends tried and true teachings and techniques from the ancients with evidence-based best practices in health and medicine to create a meaning-filled, modern and accessible way to take ownership of your health. Known for articulately combining my knowledge, wit and vivid imagination, I create verbal pictures and instructions that are easy to follow. Winter Solstice Slow Flow
iRest Yoga Nidra Workshop
with Lorraine Ghorbanpoor, RYT 500
Sunday, December 21st
3:00 - 5:00pm
This workshop will begin with a slow flow yoga practice inviting reflection and renewal. The winter solstice celebration can be a way to tune into the beauty of the season giving thanks for both the darkness and the light.
The latter part of the workshop, Integrative Restoration, or iRest, is the modern day protocol for the ancient life altering practice of Yoga Nidra. It is a profound meditative practice that systematically combines deep relaxation, affirmation, respiration, visualization and self-inquiry which work together to facilitate the integration and healing of body, mind, and spirit.
It invites realization of one's deepest desires while awakening the timeless wisdom that lies within. iRest Yoga Nidra brings you home to yourself to discover your own inherent source of peace, joy, and wellbeing.
