Voters' Call Meeting
TONIGHT - 6:30 PM

Voters' Call Meeting TONIGHT at 6:30pm

We will be considering five candidates for senior pastor tonight at the voters' call meeting. If you haven't been to a call meeting, now is your chance to see how it works, view the list of candidates and cast a vote.

What happens at a call meeting?
The Call Committee presents a short list of 3 or more candidates that they have screened, and the voters receive biographical information about each of them. The Call Committee also explains why they feel each would be a good candidate.

Balloting
Balloting is by secret ballot, and a candidate must receive the majority of votes cast. Sometimes it takes more than one vote to get a majority for one candidate, but a call meeting usually lasts only about 60 to 90 minutes.

After one candidate receives a majority, the congregation  chairman telephones him right away before the voters leave to see if he will consider the call. If, for any reason, he cannot do so, the voters vote again from the list of remaining candidates.

Can I vote?
If you are a confirmed member of Trinity and at least 18 years old, you can vote. This is such an important issue for Trinity! Please come and vote.

Trinity Lutheran Church is a member congregation of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.
