Holiday Potluck, White Elephant & LCR!!!

What better way to go into the holiday season?
On Sunday, December 14 from 1 to 5 pm, Cindy Merrall has so kindly volunteered her home for our Holiday Affair. We will playing the LCR game. For those of you that do not know what LCR is, it is a dice game. (Brief description: LCR, or Left Center Right is a very simple dice game for three or more players. It is entirely a game of chance. You start with 3 dollar bills and if you get an L you give the person on left a dollar, etc until all dollars are in the middle. Last one with dollars wins the pot. Lots of fun, and no thinking.)
What to bring:
- Wrapped holiday decoration under $20 for the White Elephant exchange
- Potluck dish
If your last name starts with this letter you bring the following item.
- A-F - Appetizer
- G-M - Entree
- N-S - Salads
- T-Z - Dessert
3) Most importantly, dollar bills for LCR game.

| GolfTEC Event - Fun, Fun, Fun |

On Wednesday October 22, 2014, we had 15 members come out for the GolfTEC Rocklin Open House. There were three certified personal golf coaches who used cameras and computers to help us analyze nearly every aspect of our swings. The GolfTEC crew really knew how to get our attention. First, there was wine and wonderful appetizers! Secondly, there were contests: Long drive-measured by total distance minus distance away from center line and closest to the hole-must be on the green. There was also a chipping challenge that tested distance control plus accuracy.
Each attendee received a personal analysis, including a discussion of goals, mental preparation, practice strategies and warm-up routines. First we were given yoga stretching techniques by a guest Pilates instructor. Once we were all warmed up we headed to one of three bays: chipping, driving, and full-body tracking. We learned about all the services GolfTEC provides and were offed a 10% discount on all game plans and a 20% discount for those who chose to purchase the ultra-package.
Most everyone came away with at list one tip or drill what would help improve their games. Our thanks to GolfTEC Rocklin for hosting this free demonstration. It was a great two hours of learning and socializing in a relaxed indoor setting.

| Scheduled Maintenance Advisory ...
This weekend, 123Signup will be performing required database maintenance to sustain availability and performance. (NOTE: 123Signup is the system we use for event sign ups).
All 123Signup services will be unavailable for up to 4 hours on Friday, October 24.
You will be unable to access the system from:
- 7pm to 11pm PDT
- 10pm to 2am EDT
- 7:30am to 11:30am (Oct 25) IST
During this service interruption, a page explaining that maintenance is in progress will be displayed to anyone who tries to access the 123Signup service, with a link to email our support group so we can notify them when the system is available again.
