Wright Motorsports takes on Grand-Am / IMSA Challenge at Watkins Glen.
Watkins Glen NY., June 27 - Busy race week ahead as WM has 5 Porsche Cup race cars entered for 6hrs at the Glen and IMSA GT3 Challenge.
A first for this season, Grand Am and IMSA have teamed up at Watkins Glen for what looks to be one of the best race weekends to attend all year. While great for the fans, running cars in multiple classes can become quite the challenge for race teams who typically race these classes on different weekends.
Wright Motorsports has accepted this challenge with a showing of no less than 5 Porsche entries for this fabled track.
Coming from a 9th place finish at Mid-Ohio a few weeks ago, Madison Snow with Andrew Davis are excited to run in this weeks 6hr endurance race. Due to the length of the event, a 3rd driver, Jan Heylen from Belgium was called up to help pilot the Porsche 997 GT Class car sponsored by UIS, KMP paddle shifters and Bilstein suspension.
Madison Snow is showing he can back us last years performance with wins in the last 2 IMSA GT3 Challenge races. While Snow has driven the IMSA and Grand-Am cars separately, this will be his first time piloting them on the same day.
3 other Wright Motorsports drivers are entered. Kasey Kuhlman, coming from 2 wins in the Masters Class. John Baker, recent "Hard Charger award winner" and John Ellis with his freshly wrapped Sage Water Porsche.
