Worship this week, May 5th
|
Dr. McIvor's sermon is "Work and Worship" based on Acts 16.9-15. We meet Lydia in this text and all we know about her is she was "a dealer in purple cloth" and "a worshiper of God." Knowing this much, however, is quite a lot. It means she was a prosperous business woman whose openness to God let her become the first Christian convert in Europe from the ministry of the apostle Paul. We also learn from Lydia that following the Lord means faithful work and faithful worship.

Spring Work Day
Tomorrow - May 4 at 9:00am
Please join us for our spring semi-annual workday gathering schedule 9:00am-2:00pm. There will be a check list of items that need attention - from miscellaneous clean-up and maintenance to gardening and other routine seasonal changes - come and pick something you're comfortable doing. There is much to do and many hands make light work! If possible, please bring your own tools to use or share. If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions, contact Barry Fiske at 617-733-9166. Lunch will be provided and your help will be VERY much appreciated.
