2013 Teen Gingerbread Competition

Keep Your Hands Busy
A Maker Space in the teen room of the library is ready for your creativity. Build a cardboard tower, have fun with magnets, beads, or just get crafty with our drawers of materials. We even have coloring and activity books. The Maker Space contents will change periodically.

Teen Advisory Board
Get more involved with the library. Teens in grades 6 & up meet monthly to suggest new materials and great programming. Back by popular demand... an activity to kick start the meeting. How about taping a banana peel back together?

Anime Club
Here's where teens in grades 6 & up meet to discuss their love of all things Anime.
The paint will be flowing at our next meeting as we try writing our name in Japanese!
Saturday, November 22 from 10-11:00 am.

It's a Geek Thing
No winners for the Dr. Who bow-tie challenge. However, we did have great fun shooting minecraft characters with a Nerf gun last month. There might still be a few Nerf darts on top of the library bookcases. Next meeting is all about Lord of the Rings - how much do you really know about these fantasy characters?

Teen Gingerbread House Competition

The staff is building the houses, but you need to decorate them. Get your team together and show what you can do with chocolate kisses, peppermints, gumdrops and an assortment of other candies. Will patrons think your house deserves the prize? Teens in grades 6 & up can register now for this fun competition on Wednesday, December 10 from 6-7:00 pm.

Divergent Movie

Have you seen the movie? Do you want to see it again? Bring a comfy cushion and enjoy freshly popped popcorn as the library presents this popular movie based on the book series by Veronica Roth. For teens ages 13 and up as this movie is rated PG-13. Run time is 140 minutes. Monday, December 29 at 2:00 pm.

Love it or Hate it?

Teens are checking out the "What to Read Next" binder in the teen room featuring book reviews by their peers. Is your review featured? Now you can fill out teen book reviews online so other teens can read how good or bad that hot new book really is.
