Happy Thanksgiving!
As if the cold snap on Monday wasn't warning enough, I'm here to tell you it's turkey time!  We have what you need to keep your family snacking while you figure out whether or not the stuffing is cooked through.  We have cheeses and meats galore for you to set out before the big meal, cocktails and wines for you to serve with the bird and digestivi to cure your after dinner food coma.

We look forward to helping you find what you need for this holiday meal and what follows after.  Turkey soup or turkey pasta anyone?  We have tomatoes, farro, parmesan and porcini mushrooms to give lift to your leftovers.

See you at Piazza!

Drinks
Every great meal deserves great beverages.  We are ready with a list of holiday-worthy suggestions for before, during and after your dinner.

Before Dinner - Keep things light and fun while you settle in with friends or family.  Try these suggestions.

Cranberry Ginger Fizz - Pick up a recipe for this seasonal prosecco cocktail made with Canton ginger liquor, lemon juice and cranberry bitters.  We have the Canton ginger liquor, cranberry bitters and the prosecco-- you supply the lemons!  Or purchase our "cocktail hero" basket for $145.99 with a bottle of Canton ginger liquor, a bottle of Fee Brothers cranberry bitters and four bottles of Villa Sandi Prosecco in a willow gift basket.

Prosecco - It's festive and delicious with cheese.  What else matters?  We have three varieties in stock plus a beautiful sparking rose for those who dare to be different! Try Baby Prosecco, Villa Sandi Prosecco, Nino Franco Rustico Prosecco (featured at Fiola Mare), and Scacciadiavoli Brut Rose made from Sagrantino grapes (featured at Fiola).

Dinner Wines - These wines have been selected for their ability to nimbly cut through the rich flavors of roasted meats, vegetables and herbs.

Whites:
Lagaria Pinot Grigio
Borgo M Friuliano
La Formica Soave
Tenuta Luisa Friuliano

Reds:
Seghesio Barbera d'Alba
G.D. Vajra Nebbiolo di Langhe

After Dinner - Your stomach needs all the help it can get after the big meal.  These digestivi and dessert wines will help stimulate your palate so you can consider some pie for dessert.

Montenegro Amaro
Averna Amaro
Don Ciccio & Figli Amaro delle Sirene
Don Ciccio & Figli Nocino
Argiolas Mirto (amaro of Sardinian myrtle berries)
Varnelli Caffe Moka (espresso basked liquor)
Donnafugata Passito di Pantelleria "Ben Rye"
Braida Moscato d'Asti

Appetizing Starters
We've already picked out some wine and now we need something to go with it!  Here are a few suggestions.

Cheeses:
Tomme Vaudoise - a very soft, camembert-like cheese from Switzerland.  Look at the picture-- don't you want to try this raw milk version?
Alta Langa Camembert - A 3 milk version made in Italy.  It's also very soft and creamy but the addition on goat and sheep milk adds a different richness to the flavor.
Guffanti Robiola 3 Latti - Melting when ripe and gently crumbly when young; in any condition the flavor is delicious, approachable, complex yet subtle. The Guffanti family finds the best quality cheese and this is no exception.
Truffle Tremor - What at first looks like Humbolt Fog without its foggy belt is upon closer examination a Humboldt Fog flecked with earthy, perfumed Italian black truffles. An 'earth shakingly' amazing bite of cheese and fungus together.
Raiano Goat - This is a truly excellent, creamy, nuanced cheese from Portugal. It's got a grassy, taste without any bitterness of some of the other Portuguese cheeses. The texture is unlike any French or American goat cheese, it's like pudding-- silky but you could eat it with a fork.
Duck Rillettes

Meats:
D'artagnan Pheasant Herb Pate -  New pate for Piazza with a delicate blend of fresh herbs, fennel seeds, pheasant, pork and duck meat.
Trois Petit Cochons Mousse Truffee - A smooth blend of chicken and pork liver with truffles and sherry.
Olympic Saucisson Alsace - Our favorite flavor from this superb salami maker in Washington state.  The combination of clove, cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice.
D'artagnan Duck Rillettes - Slow cooked duck leg is finely shredded and blended with duck fat, salt, pepper and garlic to make a spread for warm bread or crackers.
