The teaching states that the arising and cessation of phenomena are all connected and cannot exist without the other. The Buddha held that this was a natural law; a fundamental truth. This is not to also acknowledge our deepest gratitude for our freedom, and our gratitude to the revolutionaries who gave us independence as their legacy. But it is to wish and to pray that all sentient beings, everywhere, be happy and free.

After our last collection, a couple of full Crown Chakra sets came together - a first in the annals of Bodhisattva! A Crown Chakra set refers to a set that contains one bowl tuned to each of the 7 Chakras*. In this set's case, they are tuned on the rim tone. Full antique Chakra sets can take months, often years to complete.
This set includes a Root Chakra Special, Sacral and Throat Chakra Void bowls, a Double-Blue Heart Chakra bowl and a Low-wall Thick-lip for the crown Chakra.
Most sets have a "spread" - a range of 2-4 hertz either flat or sharp of a frequency. This set's rim tones are each tuned to a quarter tone flat of concert pitch. Our sets are used world wide for energy work, Chakra balancing, meditation and music. To fully appreciate the harmonic nuances, please listen with headphones! *Sound healing systems vary. |

Ancient, Double-Blue Third Eye Void

This is a Double blue's Double-blue.
This early 17th Century Void bowl has a laser beam of a female overtone in A +4 Hz tuning, and a rich, 4th octave fundamental in a concert pitch G#.
Voids are enigmatic, premium quality style bowls with geometric patterns and a unique construction which were made with remarkable consistency from the 15th through the 19th Centuries. They feature a ribbon of dots surrounded by small circles on the exterior wall under the lip. This was an ancient, sacred geometric symbol, first seen in astrology as the Sun sign. In a Himalayan, or Tibetan Buddhist context, we believe this symbol represented recognition of the Void. The dot is the contracted circle; the circle is the expanded dot: as above, so below.

The conception of the Bodhisattva recording project was to chronicle the voices of the amazing singing bowls that have passed through Bodhisattva's doors. The recording will be comprised of some studio sessions played live, as well as compositions based on archived sound files. Although our earlier recordings were not of sufficient quality, and some were altogether lost on an ill-fated hard drive, our recording artist Son Vo and I have plumbed our recorded files and are weaving them together in a constantly morphing composition. We've created a little teaser MP3 for you from a track called "Undertow". Please listen with headphones. Enjoy! |
