Pecan Street Inc. seeks a part-time, paid intern to be part of its data group at a pay rate of $20 per hour. The selected candidate will join a talented team that has deep experience in database architecture, big data management, data science, consumer electronics and software development.
Primary Responsibilities
Generally, the data group intern will assist with tasks related to occupancy sensors and BACNet controls. Some programming and knowledge of databases is preferred. Further work will consist of RF data transmission along with Arduino and Raspberry PIs. This position reports to the Data Group Director and will work in coordination with the Database Administrator and Data Scientist. The selected candidate will have broad exposure to the overall work of the Pecan Street Research Institute and the Pike Powers Lab & Center for Commercialization. It is anticipated that the intern will develop enhanced skills in all aspects of energy and consumer data and he/she will have opportunity to take part in novel research and product development underway at the Pike Powers Lab.
