Children's Awareness Month
During the month of June, organizations are encouraged to

IT'S A JESUS FAMILY REUNION
First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens presents Vacation Bible School (VBS) 2013. This year's theme - It's A Jesus Family Reunion - is a family affair! From the opening, Monday, July 8, 2013 at 6:30 p.m., to the closing, Friday, July 12, 2013 at 7:15 p.m., this year's event will focus on celebrating families and our familial connection to God through Jesus Christ.
Pastor Kevin Swann of the Ivy Baptist Church in Newport News, Virginia, will bring the word to the adults. Children ages 2-18 will study, play games, create arts and crafts, and be treated to snacks. Rev. Dr. Deborah Stapleton, FBC Minister of Christian Education and VBS Coordinator, said, "The activities will close with culminating events that are not to be missed. Friday will end with two special events: the Lemonade Challenge, and the Jesus Family Reunion Closing Program." Barbara Fuller, Lemonade Challenge coach explains, "The Focus on Youth Lemonade Stand Challenge is a business competition for youth to demonstrate their ability to plan, create and start a business. These highly motivated young-people, who range in age from 8-10 years old, will be on hand Friday in the Fellowship Hall, to sell their lemonade. Come out and support our young future business owners".
Invite your family and friends to this wonderful event. "Pastor Soaries wants at least 500 members in attendance," said Rev. Stapleton. "Let's make him proud!"

The FBCLG Haiti Mission and the church, school, and orphanage in Carri�s, Haiti, are partnering to hold the
2nd Annual Vacation Bible School
this summer.
The ministry is accepting donations of non-perishable food, arts & crafts supplies, games, children's T-shirts, and cash.
There is still room for more mission volunteers who would like to travel to Haiti.
Trip dates: July 28, 2013 to August 3, 2013.

LOVE FORCE (HIV/AIDS) MINISTRY
is sponsoring a Housewarming Project
in collaboration with "Making it Possible to End Homelessness."
This transitional housing program takes individuals and families from homelessness to permanent affordable housing.
Sixteen of the units are dedicated to individuals who are HIV positive.
Donations of new household items or gift cards will be accepted after each service through Sunday June 30, 2013.

Special Announcement - New Technology
FAITH IN ACTION CENTRAL (CCB)
New Giving Numbers
We have completed Phase I of the conversion to the new church management system, FAITH IN ACTION CENTRAL (CCB). As a result, giving numbers have changed. The change is effective with envelopes dated July and August 2013.
This system will allow us to better serve our members and friends. Donations will continue to be accurately recorded, and donors may log into FAITH IN ACTION CENTRAL (CCB) to view their personal and secure donation records.
To do so, login and click Go to my profile (on the right side of the screen). Press the Financial tab (halfway down in the middle of the screen. Donors may view giving statements as frequently as desired.
