Curtis Woods Park to be Adopted by the Masons of Wayne Masonic Lodge

Westland, MI - Mayor Wild and the Westland City Council recently approved the formal adoption of the Curtis Woods Park by the Masons of the Wayne Masonic Lodge #112, located at 37137 Palmer Road. The Masons are enthusiastic about the adoption of the park and are looking forward to assisting in its maintenance, improvements and added amenities.

Recently, the Park's pavilion had to be removed due to deterioration that was beyond repair. The City plans on working with the Masons in developing future enhancements, with considerations for a future replacement pavilion, added benches and a sign to establish the Masons involvement with the Park.

"We truly appreciate the Masons continued involvement with the City and their concern for the welfare and future of our City's Curtis Woods Park. We look forward to an ongoing partnership with the Masons and watching this park grow and thrive," said Mayor Wild.

The Masons of the Wayne Masonic Lodge #112 is freemasonry, fraternal organization, which supports its community and schools. Wayne Lodge was chartered on January 14, 1859 from the Grand Lodge of Michigan.  They believe in making most events a family event and they continually ask members for input as to what activities they would like to do.
