Menu for the week of April 8

A big welcome to all our new Lifebooker customers! We prepare our meals with your best health in mind, and we hope you love what your see on our weekly menus. If you're following our 5-Day Detox Diet program, please be mindful to choose no shellfish or cheese from this week's selections. Fermented soy in the form of tempeh and tamari are A-OK, as are all the lovely fish, chicken, whole grains, and vegetables.

A quick housekeeping note for all - please remember to return the cooler bags to your doorman or our delivery person. Also, if you'd like to help the environment and don't mind re-using plastic containers, we will accept those back as well. Please wash them before returning. Thank you!

It's All Good

Gwyneth Paltrow's second cookbook It's All Good arrived in my mailbox yesterday and I have to admit, I was super excited to receive it. I have her first cookbook, My Father's Daughter, and I found her recipes easy to follow and delicious. But the reason I'm so excited about her latest is because the recipes are for the most part gluten, dairy, and refined-sugar free, exactly the way we cook here at Provenance Foods. Finally, the benefits of clean, nutritious eating free of potential allergens and toxins is going increasingly mainstream. And really, love her or hate her, who is as healthy looking a spokesman for this way of eating than the beautiful Gwyneth?

The subtitle of It's All Good is "Delicious, Easy Recipes That Will Make you Look Good and Feel Great". As our clients already know, eating a clean diet that focuses on fresh, wild-caught fish, organic and grassfed animal proteins, whole grains properly prepared, and abundant local produce is indeed the key to make you look good and feel great. As one of our new customers recently emailed me:

"I received my first order today and just wanted to thank you and the chef for the marvelous food. I had the Salmon tonight and the way it was prepared with attention to many fine details are much appreciated!! There's plenty of good food to eat portion-wise as well!! Thank you for helping me gain my health back with many delicious healthy options!"

For next week's menu, we're offering our own take on one of Gwyneth's recipes. If you try the Millet Chickpea Falafel with Avocado & Tomato Relish, please let us know what you think!

All my best,

Caroll
