Join Discovery Gateway for the annual SUPER FUN Halloween celebration - Spooktacular. This special fundraising event will feature more scare-free fun than ever before including trick-or-treating in the Front Door Maze, Marvelous Moments princesses, Kipper Brothers' Puppet Works performances, a Mike Hamilton magic show, photo contests with SUPER Prizes courtesy of Salt Lake Comic Con, STEM programming, art experiences and special activities for preschoolers!

DiscoveryGateway.org, in advance at the museum or on the day of the event.

Museum admission may be purchased separately.

Dress up in your costumes, enjoy treats and pumpkin-themed activities, take home a free book while supplies last, watch a half-hour PBS screening of a Dinosaur Train Halloween special and meet your favorite monkey Curious George!

 

Rumbi Island Grill


 

Receive one free kid's meal per adult meal purchased at Rumbi Island Grill when you show your Discovery Gateway membership card or admission wristband from that day's museum visit.


 

Offer valid anytime, even on Sundays when the museum is open 12 - 6 pm and Gateway parking is free!


 

 


 

D�a de los Muertos

Day of the Dead

Join Discovery Gateway in honoring Hispanic culture during D�a de los Muertos celebration. See beautiful Mexican folk art on loan from Artes de M�xico en Utah, as well as live singing and music with Rocio del Valle and dance performances from Quetzalcoatl Cultural Club. Learn more about traditions through activities such ascalavera de az�car (sugar skull) decorating, puppets, masks and zempazuchtl (tissue paper flower) making.

 

Please celebrate your loved ones who have passed by bringing in photos of them to place on the Community Altar created with 

local artist Sonia Pentz.

Aspen Winds Woodwind Quintet Performance

Aspen Winds joins Discovery Gateway to create a perfect environment for introducing young children to woodwind instruments and classical music with stories, singing and dancing! 
Aspen Winds Woodwind Quintet, and professional storyteller, Rachel Hedman, come together to present The Fool of the World and the Flying Ship, a tale of adventure, friendship and magic. The quintet will also perform Maurice Ravel's Mother Goose Suite, with tales such as Sleeping Beauty, Tom Thumb and Beauty and the Beast. Children will be invited to dance to some American classics, and sing-a-long to popular Disney songs.
