PROGRESS REPORT
Have YOU started your Fresh Linen top yet? Get started today! Knit the pieces for Fresh Linen and then finish the sweater when you join Michelle in her FINISHING IN ACTION class -- perfect for the knitter who likes a deadline and wants a little hand-holding for the finishing. See all the details below in our Spring Class List.
The June class date leaves plenty of time to complete the knitting and an entire summer to wear this stylish top; perfect top for layering over a camisole, tank top, or bathing suit!
Made from Kraemer's Belfast Linen (blend of Cotton, Linen, Silk), the pattern is in the newest Knitter's Magazine No. 110. The pattern requires only 3 skeins for S and M, 4 for L and XL, 5 for 2X.
Get the magazine and Belfast Linen to make this adorable top at Knitting Temptations!
FRESH LINEN
by Michelle Hunter
Some of our customers have asked about modifying the pattern to be knit in the round. Here are Michelle's thoughts:
While it sounds like a simple alternative, the pattern does not easily adapt to circular knitting due to the odd number of stitches required for the stitch pattern. If knit in the round, stitch count must be adjusted after the armhole, shoulder numbers reworked, neckline altered, etc. Sometimes the "simple" solution can actually make a pattern more complicated.
